CFEA is looking for a few good leaders!

CFEA is looking for leaders to serve as members of the Board of Directors for 2008–2009. Such leaders should:
• Have a vision for CFEA
• Share a dedication to the professionalism of CFEA
• Be willing to invest the extra time necessary to serve CFEA
• Demonstrate prior service and contribution to CFEA
• Be supported in this service to our association by their fraternity/sorority/society

Do you know someone who fits the profile? Are you that person? A “yes” to either question means that you need to fill out and mail or e-mail the Board nomination form for receipt no later than Tuesday, April 15. (See the 2008 CFEA Nominations Material for additional instructions). For complete information about the board positions and the election process, refer to the CFEA Handbook of Policies & Procedures and/or the CFEA Constitution.

The Nominations Committee reviews candidates for board election and deliberates carefully to ensure the best-qualified nominees are selected for election as leaders for the coming year. Candidates fill out a questionnaire about past CFEA service and their vision/goals for the organization; information about each candidate will be made available to CFEA’s membership prior to and during the conference.

At the Annual Conference the Nominations Committee interviews each candidate and presents a slate of nominees to the delegation. Election and installation of officers and directors take place at the Annual Conference during the final business session.

All CFEA members are encouraged to recommend nominees or nominate themselves for president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and the four director positions. Officers customarily are chosen from those now serving on the Board if they are available and willing to serve. Terms are for one year; Board members may be re-elected from year to year.

If you are interested in serving, or know someone you believe would make a good CFEA Board member, fill out the form for yourself or for another candidate to whom a nomination questionnaire will be sent.
